What are you the most proud of in your life?
I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur since I was a little girl selling lemonade in the driveway and tomatoes from my parents garden. My dad was a blue collar construction worker and my mom was a stay at home mom. I knew I wanted to grow up and make my family proud and be successful. My mom taught me to always have an honest and ethical approach in life. My parents told me to always stay out of trouble with the law. Starting Sharp Medical in 2013 was a huge transition in my life and I learned the level of commitment very quickly in running a successful business. I have truly grown into a leader that inspires others in a positive way in their careers to help others be successful. Helping others is a passion I have which I thank my mom for inspiring that within me. My mom is one of the most amazing and selfless people I have ever met and for that I am thankful for what I have accomplished in my career.
What is the hardest thing you have been through in life?
I was in a horrible car accident in 1999 shortly after graduating high school. I am truly lucky to be alive and after that my life definitely changed and I looked at life completely different. In 2016 my mom suffered a massive brain aneurysm. I had to continue to run my business and also be there for my family which was very tough but was able to somehow manage it all. Thanks to the amazing staff at Nebraska Medicine and her physical therapy, my mom was able to almost fully recover even after breaking both of her hips in rehab. You definitely have to be thankful for what life means and making sure you live every day to its fullest is so important to me.
