Travel Cath Lab RN

Currently looking for a Cath Lab RN to fill a 13 week travel assignment in Port St. Lucie, FL. Interested candidates should have a solid work history in the Cath Lab setting and have a current state or compact RN license.

Tell us about the unit(s):

  • Number of Beds – 3 rooms, 1 patient per room
  • Number of Staff 12, consisting of RN’S and Techs
  • Type of staff:
    • Day Shift – 1 Charge RN, Director, 3 staff members per room, 12 total per shift
    • Night Shift On-call team, 2 each call team, 4 total
  • Patient Ratios 1:1
  • Type of equipment all GE rooms
  • EMR – Meditech and MacLab

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

 

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

  • BLS, ACLS, ARRT for Techs
  • Must be competent in Special Procedures & GE Innova & must have recent acute facility IR/Specials experience.

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

  • RCIS for techs

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

  • Cardiac Cath, Cerebella angiograms, stents, Balloons, ENT Lab, scrubbing
  • On-call is required of 1-2 weekday shifts and 1 weekend per 4 week period.

 

Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.

  • Navy Blue, white, or combination of both – nothing else.

Requirements of the Travel Cath/IR/EP Lab RN

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
  • Must have a valid professional license by discipline for state or compact license (where applicable)
  • Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
  • Passionate about working in the Cath/IR/EP Lab and in a team-focused environment
  • Ability to relate and interact positively, effectively and appropriately with patients, family, and staff.
